Indian Army's Leap into the Future with 'Exercise DIVYA DRISHTI'

In a bold move toward modernizing its military capabilities, the Indian Army orchestrated 'Exercise DIVYA DRISHTI' in July 2025. According to a release by PRO Defence, this significant exercise took place in the high-altitude areas of East Sikkim, testing cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing battlefield awareness, real-time surveillance, and rapid decision-making.
Within the exercise, Trishakti Corps utilized both ground-based systems and aerial platforms, including UAVs and drones, to simulate realistic combat scenarios. A standout feature was the deployment of AI-enabled sensors integrated with advanced communication systems, ensuring seamless and secure data transfer between command centres thereby strengthening the sensor-to-shooter linkage.
Lieutenant General Rakesh Kapoor, Deputy Chief of Army Staff, reviewed the exercise that reinforces the Army's push towards technological advancement and self-reliance under initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat. Meanwhile, the 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas was marked by a display of evolved military capabilities at the Kargil Battle School, emphasizing India's military modernization and commitment to next-gen warfare technologies.
