PNC Infratech announced on Monday that it has successfully emerged as the lowest bidder in a significant tender by South Eastern Coalfields Limited. The tender, which covers comprehensive handling, transport, and other mining services, is valued at Rs 2,956.66 crore, excluding GST, for a duration of five years.

The contract entails the hiring of heavy earth moving machinery (HEMM) for overburden removal and the extraction of coal using surface miners. Furthermore, it includes the loading and transportation of the extracted coal to various destinations within the Gevra Opencast Project (OCP) expansion project.
