Union Minister Bhupender Yadav has commended India's achievements in tiger conservation, stating that with 58 reserves and a tiger population of 3,682, India serves as a global model. Yadav emphasized that tiger conservation symbolizes healthy ecosystems and is vital for community livelihoods. His remarks were shared on social media platform X.

Observed annually on July 29, International Tiger Day aims to protect tigers' natural habitats and foster global awareness. Under PM Modi's leadership, India has increased its tiger reserves from 47 in 2014 to 58. This increase includes expanding the reserves' areas, highlighting India's dedication to tiger preservation.

Yadav also highlighted the International Big Cat Alliance, initiated under PM Modi, uniting 97 countries to enhance conservation efforts. Celebrating International Tiger Day at Delhi Zoo, Yadav stressed the importance of conservation awareness among school children. Initiatives like the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign are part of broader efforts to promote environmental conservation and enhance green ecosystems.
