State-owned Power Finance Corporation (PFC) announced on Monday that its subsidiary, PFC Consulting Ltd, has handed over a special purpose vehicle (SPV) created for a power transmission project in Odisha to HG Infra Engineering.

HG Infra Engineering emerged as the winning bidder for Angul Sundargarh Transmission Limited, established for the Eastern Region Generation Scheme-I (ERGS-I) project, PFC reported in a stock exchange filing.

The sale and transfer of the SPV to HG Infra Engineering were concluded on July 28, as per the filing. PFC Consulting Ltd was appointed by the Ministry of Power to select a transmission service provider through a tariff-based competitive bidding process for setting up the ERGS-I transmission system.
