Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reiterated India's firm position on cross-border terrorism in the Rajya Sabha. He clarified that while cultural practices such as offering milk to snakes may be fitting on Nag Panchami, there is no leniency when it comes to terrorism, as Operation Sindoor will persist without pause.
Singh criticized the notion of exclusively negotiating with Pakistan due to nuclear threats, arguing that such a stance has cost numerous innocent lives. He challenged opposition parties to provide their alternatives, questioning the effectiveness of diplomacy alone when faced with cross-border aggression.
Praising the military's success in dismantling terrorist operations, Singh highlighted the elimination of over 100 terrorists as evidence of the government's decisive actions. By altering the strategic calculus, India aims to transform terrorism into a costly enterprise for its perpetrators, moving beyond perceptions of vulnerability.
