The second batch of Budha Amarnath Yatra pilgrims reached the Mandi area of Poonch district on Wednesday, visiting the Swami Budha Amarnath Temple to offer prayers. Pilgrims, organized by Bajrang Dal, embarked on this adventurous journey, significantly welcomed by locals, with around 800 individuals arriving from Jammu.

Vikram Pariyar, a pilgrim, praised the admirable arrangements for the Yatra, highlighting the attendance of devotees from numerous states, including Kerala, Meerut, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Assam, and Bengal. Balbir Singh of the Jal Shakti Shri Gurdas Sewa Society emphasized the Yatra's significance, remarking on its festival-like atmosphere in Poonch and its message of unity from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

The Swami Budha Amarnath Ji temple, located between the Pir Panchal Range's belt at Rajpura Mandi, 25 km northeast of Poonch, serves as the focal point of this spiritual journey. The temple, situated at the confluence of Nallah Gagri and Pulsta Nadi, houses a natural Shivlinga and attracts thousands of devotees annually ahead of Raksha Bandhan, culminating in the festive Budha Amarnath Ji Mela.
