Turkey will commence supplying natural gas to Syria on August 2, according to Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar. This energy exchange, also involving Azerbaijan, is poised to traverse through Turkey's Kilis.
In a visit to Damascus last May, Minister Bayraktar highlighted Turkey's commitment to delivering 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually to Syria. Additionally, Turkey will supply 1,000 megawatts of electricity, signifying a substantial boost to Syria's energy resources.
This strategic move by Turkey not only enhances bilateral relations but also underscores the region's evolving energy dynamics, potentially impacting cross-border economic and geopolitical landscapes.
