Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel led a tree plantation drive in Ahmedabad's Chandlodia area as part of the Mission Four Million Trees 2025 initiative, according to an official statement released on Wednesday. Minister of State Jagdish Vishwakarma, Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibha Jain, Municipal Commissioner Banchhanidhi Pani, and local MLAs were among those present.
The statement highlighted Ahmedabad's leading role under CM Patel's leadership in the quest to become a clean and green city nationwide. With a goal to establish Ahmedabad as the cleanest city in India, the Municipal Corporation has launched the ambitious Mission Four Million Trees 2025. This initiative aims to plant 40 lakh trees, transforming the city into a vibrant Green City.
As of July 27, 20,42,689 trees have been planted, achieving 51% of the target. Citizens are encouraged to participate by registering on the AMC Seva App for a free tree plantation service. The Chief Minister emphasized achieving full coverage of quality schemes, ensuring excellence across Gujarat's districts and talukas under PM Modi's leadership.
