Karnataka BJP President and MLA BY Vijayendra launched a scathing attack on the Congress Party on Wednesday, accusing it of resorting to what he termed as a 'fake drama' under the guise of highlighting election irregularities. Vijayendra suggested that this new tactic is driven by the Congress's failure to regain power at the Centre.
Speaking from the BJP state office, Jagannath Bhavan, he alleged that Rahul Gandhi, set to visit Bengaluru, is spearheading this 'drama' with potential protests planned in Mahadevapura. Vijayendra criticized the Congress for questioning the integrity of the Election Commission and the Supreme Court, challenging the party to submit any valid evidence to the courts.
He argued that Congress's accusations are baseless, as evidenced by BJP's robust presence with 136 seats compared to Congress's 66 seats. Highlighting internal fissures, Vijayendra pointed out recent tensions between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar, foreseeing turbulence within Congress ranks as tensions rise in Karnataka.
