Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed profound sorrow on Wednesday following the death of a child in Bageshwar district, attributed to insufficient medical facilities. Labeling the incident as 'extremely painful and unfortunate,' Dhami has called for an immediate investigation into the case.
In a post on the social media platform X, Dhami highlighted the preliminary findings suggesting lapses in duty by certain officials and staff. Taking note of the severity, he has instructed the Kumaon Commissioner to urgently probe the situation. This directive follows initial reports that implied a potential delay in the provision of necessary healthcare services for the child.
The Chief Minister warned of severe repercussions for any negligence, emphasizing relentless action against any indifference exhibited by officials. Furthermore, Dhami acknowledged the approval of special central assistance, expressing gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and reiterated the state government's dedication to advancing Uttarakhand's development in line with the Prime Minister's vision.
