The Odisha Crime Branch has successfully cracked the troubling OTET-2025 question paper leak, linked to the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) examinations. DGP Vinaytosh Mishra revealed that six individuals are now in custody for their roles in the incident.
Authorities have confiscated a range of electronic devices, such as mobile phones, alongside the compromised exam papers from the accused. Preliminary probes show that the illicit dealings were conducted via digital payment platforms. The involved suspects' bank accounts are being scrutinized, with further investigations aimed at unearthing additional participants, as per DGP Mishra's statement.
The OTET exam, initially slated for July 20, faced postponement after the exam paper surfaced prematurely. A data entry operator from the Board of Secondary Examination's office was identified as the alleged orchestrator, having distributed the papers. DGP Mishra elaborated that the probe was launched after the board's president flagged the breach. The ongoing investigation aims to bring more individuals to justice.
