Himachal Pradesh is currently facing widespread disruptions in public utilities due to relentless monsoon rains. The State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) reports 301 roads blocked, 436 power transformers disrupted, and 254 water supply schemes impacted as of July 31 at 10:00 AM.

The severe weather has particularly affected Mandi, Kullu, and Chamba districts, leading to major road blockages and disruption in power services. The total death toll since June 20 has reached 170, including casualties due to road accidents. National highways are impassable due to landslides and flooding, slowing restoration efforts.

Monsoon-induced damage to public and private property is estimated at over Rs 1,59,981 lakh, with crops, homes, and livestock equally affected. Authorities urge caution as further rainfall is forecasted and emergency teams are deployed in sensitive zones for timely intervention.
