The National Archives of India, in partnership with the Higher Education Department of Nagaland, is set to unveil an exhibition titled 'Development of Education in North Eastern India' on August 8. According to an official release from the Ministry of Culture, the event will take place at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima.

La. Ganesan, the Governor of Nagaland, will inaugurate the exhibition, accompanied by Temjen Imna Along, Nagaland's Minister of Higher Education and Tourism, and Samar Nanda, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Culture and Director General of Archives. This exhibition marks a significant exploration of Northeast India's educational path, meticulously shaped by its tribal, linguistic, missionary, and colonial legacies.

Showcasing key milestones, the exhibition features documents and artefacts that spotlight the establishment of prominent educational institutions and impactful policy initiatives aimed at fostering regional growth and inclusivity. Original archival material, including government files and rare manuscripts, helps narrate this dynamic history, offering visitors a deep insight into the region's academic transformation.
