PNB Housing Finance has announced that its Managing Director and CEO, Girish Kousgi, is stepping down. His resignation will take effect on October 28, 2025, and he will also cease to be a director on the boards of PNB's subsidiaries, PHFL Home Loans and PEHEL Foundation.
Despite Kousgi's departure, the company has affirmed its commitment to maintaining its strategic priorities and growth plans, thanking him for the solid foundation he helped establish. In a statement, R Chandrasekaran, chairman of the nomination and remuneration committee, assured a rigorous and transparent process is underway to appoint a new leader.
PNB Housing Finance, India's third-largest housing finance company, reported strong financial results for the first quarter ending June 2025. The company posted a 23% increase in net profit, rising to Rs 534 crore, and recorded growth in total income and net interest income, showcasing its robust financial health.
