Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Parliament House on Friday to address pivotal matters concerning Chhattisgarh's development and strategies to counter the Maoist menace.

In this critical dialogue, CM Sai highlighted the state's significant strides in anti-Maoist operations, noting the neutralization of over 445 Maoists, including top leaders, in 33 major encounters since December 2023. In addition, 1,554 Maoists have been apprehended and 1,588 have surrendered. The state operates under an 'Integrated Development and Security' policy, aiming to eradicate Maoist influence through enhanced infrastructure, education, and healthcare, fostering public trust.

Expressing gratitude, the Chief Minister commended the Union Home Minister for unwavering support in bolstering security and development in Bastar and other areas. Amit Shah applauded Chhattisgarh's historic endeavors against Maoism and assured continued Central Government backing. Discussions also covered the upcoming Amrit Rajat Mahotsav 2025, celebrating 25 years since Chhattisgarh's formation, focusing on cultural heritage, social unity, and economic progress.
