Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parliament House to discuss the state's development and extended an invitation for the Prime Minister to attend the state's Silver Jubilee event on November 1 as the Chief Guest in Raipur. The talks emphasized state development priorities, upcoming schemes, and welfare initiatives.
Celebrating 25 years since its formation, Chhattisgarh marks this milestone as the 'Amrit Rajat Jayanti Year'. CM Sai stressed the significance of the Prime Minister's presence and briefed him on the state's visionary 'Anjor Vision @2047', designed to ensure sustainable development in line with India's broader development goals.
Progressive reforms and innovative initiatives in education, health, agriculture, industry, and environment form the crux of the vision document. The Chief Minister highlighted the recent enactment of the Jan Vishwas Bill 2025, aimed at judicial transparency, inspired by the central Jan Vishwas Act 2023.
CM Sai updated PM Modi on the Chhattisgarh State Capital Region Development Authority (SCRDA) to underscore the planned transformation of Nava Raipur into a smart urban hub. The state's New Industrial Policy 2024-30, along with a Single Window System, has drawn significant investor interest, generating job opportunities through special industrial incentives.
Between November 2024 and July 2025, Chhattisgarh secured investment proposals worth Rs 6.65 lakh crore, including India's first Semiconductor Unit inauguration in Nava Raipur. A focus on textiles, pharmaceuticals, IT services, and ongoing infrastructure advancements aims to establish Chhattisgarh as a technological and industrial hub.
Education reforms target quality enhancement in rural and tribal areas through digital integration and teacher training. The state is advancing two significant projects: Medicity, a future medical hub in Raipur, and Edu City, to solidify its educational standing.
Addressing Naxalism, CM Sai highlighted the state's success in reintegrating former Naxalites through rehabilitation and trust-building efforts. Infrastructure projects in affected regions aim to build confidence in governance and foster socio-economic inclusion. (ANI)
