Tahawur Rana, alleged mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks, has been denied the privilege of regular telephonic conversations with his family by jail authorities. This decision comes despite an earlier approval for a single call.

Special Judge Chander Jit Singh concluded the proceedings, validating the authorities' stance after legal submissions from both parties. Rana, extradited from the USA earlier this year, is currently in judicial custody following his involvement in the infamous attacks.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been actively conducting supplementary investigations, including filing a supplementary charge sheet and acquiring voice samples from Rana. The court extended Rana's judicial custody to facilitate ongoing inquiries.
