Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has called for calm and cooperation in response to communal unrest in Pune district, sparked by a controversial social media post supposedly shared by an outsider. Tensions escalated in Yavat village, Daund Taluka after a local youth's post, leading to street protests and attempted vandalism.

Police presence was significantly increased following the incident, which occurred a week prior and had already strained the area's atmosphere. Addressing the media, CM Fadnavis urged citizens to maintain peace and avoid unlawful actions, stressing that offenders will face strict police measures.

Fadnavis confirmed the situation is now stable with both communities working towards reconciliation. The tense moment stemmed from an inflammatory post from outside the region, prompting a lathi charge to control crowds. Fadnavis condemned those who incite unrest for malicious purposes and dismissed connections to recent public events, emphasizing peace prevails in the area. Meanwhile, investigations continue into the post and related video clips, especially after a local bakery with no link to the offender was vandalized.
