Telangana ACB Intensifies Anti-Corruption Efforts with 148 Cases in 2025

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau registered 148 cases from January to July 2025, including 93 trap cases. Over Rs 39 crores in assets and Rs 30 lakhs in cash were seized. The bureau finalized 151 cases during this period, with investigations expedited as per the Director-General's instructions.

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has ramped up its efforts against corruption, registering a total of 148 cases from January to July 2025. These include a significant 93 trap cases, nine disproportionate assets cases, 15 criminal misconduct cases, 11 regular enquiries, and several surprise and discreet checks.

In these operations, 145 public servants were apprehended, including 10 outsourced employees and private individuals, who were subsequently remanded to judicial custody. The ACB reported the seizure of Rs 30 lakhs in trap cases across various departments and uncovered assets worth Rs 39 crores in disproportionate assets cases.

The Director General of ACB, TG, held a Half Yearly Crime Review Meeting on June 23, emphasizing the need to expedite the investigation of long-pending cases. Officers were instructed to swiftly conclude investigations and provide reports to the Head Office. The DG commended the officers for their effective work in combating corruption.
