The Chandigarh-Manali National Highway was blocked by a landslide near Pandoh Dam early Saturday, following another similar incident the previous day. Large debris fell at around 4 AM, leaving the highway severely damaged and impassable.

Hundreds of commuters are stranded, with vehicular movement coming to a complete halt on both sides. Some pedestrians risk crossing the unstable terrain on foot. The consecutive landslides at the same spot emphasize the unpredictability of weather conditions in the region.

Mandi's Superintendent of Police, Sakshi Verma, reported that efforts by NHAI are underway to clear the debris. Meanwhile, data from the State Emergency Operation Centre highlights widespread infrastructural damage due to heavy rainfall, including blocked roads, disrupted power lines, and compromised water supply.
