Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister MK Stalin unveiled the 'Nalam Kaakkum Stalin' scheme, designed to bring essential health check-ups to citizens' doorsteps. Launched at St. Bede's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Mylapore, Chennai, the initiative aims to alleviate financial pressures by eliminating the need for hospital-based full-body medical examinations.

The groundbreaking program promises a wide array of medical services through special health camps across the state, covering fields such as surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, cardiology, and more. This announcement comes as Chief Minister Stalin recovers after a successful procedure for heart rate variations at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, affirming his responsibility to public welfare.

In parallel, former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam has requested the release of Rs 2,151 crore for the Samagra Shiksha Scheme's 2024-25 session. While ensuring quality education through a central-state-funded model, Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary cited policy non-compliance for the delay, underscoring the state's educational ambitions.
