In a bold move to address housing for the underprivileged, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inspected the long-abandoned Delhi Development Authority (DDA) flats in Sultanpuri on Saturday, promising to prioritize housing, security, and improved facilities for the poor.

CM Gupta criticized past governments for preventing the allocation of these flats, built in 2011, meant for slum residents. She reaffirmed the BJP's commitment to fulfilling PM Modi's vision of housing for all, even proposing to construct an additional 10 lakh homes if necessary.

Delhi Minister Ashish Sood emphasized that a Rs 200 crore budget was allocated to transform slums into dignified housing. BJP leader Yogendra Chandolia highlighted the initiative under the Prime Minister's promise of 'Jaha Jhuggi Wahi Makaan,' ensuring slum residents are relocated nearby to improve their living conditions.
