On Saturday, Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for alleging election rigging, demanding evidence to substantiate the claims. Sharma questioned Gandhi's assertions, suggesting that having observed the electoral process would enlighten the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

Rahul Gandhi alleged the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were compromised and India's election system is 'already dead.' Speaking at the 'Constitutional Challenges - Perspectives & Pathways' conclave, he claimed over 80 seats were rigged, undermining the current Prime Minister's slim majority in office.

The Congress leader rekindled doubts rooted in the 2014 elections, expressing skepticism over BJP's sweeping victories in several states. Gandhi claims their investigation into Maharashtra revealed electoral malpractices, with a sudden surge of a crore voters favoring BJP. He insists unequivocal proof of rigging exists.
