In a compelling address at the Agaram Foundation event in Chennai, actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam founder Kamal Haasan underscored the transformative power of education. He described it as the 'only weapon' against dictatorship and entrenched social systems like Sanatan on Sunday.

Haasan encouraged the audience to embrace education fervently, cautioning that ignorance could lead to societal defeats. He highlighted the scarcity of genuine education and love, praising the Agaram Foundation's efforts. 'True education and unconditional love are rare,' he noted, comparing cinematic and social recognition.

Discussing educational challenges, Haasan criticized the NEET examination's limitations since 2017. He revealed conversations with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on empowering NGOs to aid students. Emphasizing leadership's lasting impact beyond fame, he concluded, 'Leadership is about effecting change, even if it means being forgotten.'
