Uttarakhand CM Advocates Preservation of Sanatan Culture at 50th Nirvana Day Celebration

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the 50th Nirvana Day program at Shri Brahma Niwas Ashram in Haridwar, honoring Pujya Satguru Lal Das Maharaj. Dhami praised the Satguru for prioritizing spirituality and inspiring people with his devotion, likening his compassion to that of Lord Buddha.
The Chief Minister noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Sanatan culture is gaining global recognition. Dhami stressed the state's commitment to preserving Uttarakhand's cultural heritage and announced plans for the Rishikesh-Haridwar corridor to enhance Haridwar's prominence as a sacred city.
In a bid to safeguard cultural values, Dhami highlighted strict measures against disruptive mindsets, including tough anti-conversion laws and the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code. He emphasized Operation Kalanemi's role in targeting those misusing the name of Sanatan religion, and the addition of Hindu studies in educational curriculums.
