A crucial meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party is set for Tuesday at the Parliament Library Building, drawing representatives from both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. This gathering occurs as parliamentary stalemates persist over the opposition's demands to discuss the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.

In recent developments, the Lok Sabha has faced blockages in advancing the National Sports Governance Bill, 2025, and the National Anti-Doping Bill, 2025, due to opposition protests. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju condemned the ongoing disruptions during a session dominated by disagreements, emphasizing that time had been allotted for these crucial bills following an all-party meeting.

BJP MP Jagdambika Pal, chairing the session, appealed for constructive discourse, highlighting the lack of legislative progress since the monsoon session commenced. Rijiju reaffirmed the government's readiness to discuss various issues within constitutional guidelines but clarified that an SIR debate falls outside these boundaries. The meeting aligns with deadlines set by the Election Commission for upcoming Vice Presidential elections, influencing party strategies.
