The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) of Himachal Pradesh announced on Monday that all dams in the state are currently functioning within permissible operational limits. The report, which captures data up to 15:00 Hrs, highlights that while high inflows are reported due to the ongoing monsoon, the situation remains manageable.

Amid heightened rainfall, SDMA HP reassures residents, confirming, "The current pond levels of all dams are within the permissible operational limits." This update comes as a relief to the local population concerned about potential flooding.

The report details specific inflow and outflow figures: Bhakra dam shows 1353 cumecs inflow and 704 cumecs outflow; Kol Dam has 1290 cumecs inflow against 1530 cumecs outflow; and Chamera-I dam records an inflow of 425.14 cumecs with an outflow of 365.99 cumecs. An open service gate was noted at Baira dam due to elevated ppm.

Additional facilities like Jateon Barrage, Pong dam, and Larji Barrage registered specific inflow-outflow statistics. The Malana-II HEP remains shut, its gates open after an August 1 flash flood. Maintenance or silt issues led to the closure of some plants like Allain Barrage and Pandoh.

SDMA HP monitors developments vigilantly, promising further reports as needed. Weather conditions remain from cloudy to partially cloudy over most dam sites. (ANI)
