Indian Teens Triumph at International Linguistics Olympiad in Taiwan
A team of four young Indian students achieved remarkable success at the 22nd International Linguistics Olympiad in Taiwan, securing one gold, one bronze, and multiple honorable mentions. The competition challenged participants with language problem-solving tasks, showcasing the students' linguistic prowess and teamwork on an international stage.

A passion for decoding rare languages and cracking cryptic clues has led a quartet of young Indian students to claim impressive victories at the 22nd International Linguistics Olympiad (IOL) held from July 20 to July 27 in Taipei, Taiwan.
Guided by Prof. Parameswari Krishnamurthy from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H), and accompanied by observer Anshul Krishnadas Bhagwat, the Indian team returned with a gold medal, a bronze, and multiple honorary recognitions. Team members Vaageesan Surendran, Advay Misra, Nandagovind Anurag, and Siripurapu Bhuvan demonstrated their prowess in linguistic problem-solving challenges.
The competition, part of the prestigious International Science Olympiads, attracted 227 participants from 42 countries. In a historic moment for India, each team member received individual accolades, marking a first since India's IOL debut in 2009.
