Tributes Pour In as Jharkhand Legend Shibu Soren Passes Away

Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien arrived in Ranchi on Tuesday to honor the late Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha founder, Shibu Soren. O'Brien, along with other dignitaries, acknowledged Soren's towering legacy, addressing him reverently as 'Guruji' for his significant contributions to the state.
Amidst a gathering of politicians, O'Brien expressed condolences on behalf of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the All India Trinamool Congress party. Recounting Soren's illustrious political journey, he highlighted Soren's tenure as both Chief Minister of Jharkhand and Union Coal Minister, reflecting on his dedication over four decades.
The remains of Shibu Soren, who passed away in New Delhi, were taken to the State Assembly in Ranchi for public homage. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, emotionally overwhelmed, described his father as a cornerstone of Jharkhand's identity. The state's political landscape mourns the loss as preparations for Soren's last rites in his native village, Nimra, are underway.
