In a heated session of political exchanges, Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Manoj Jha openly criticized the Election Commission on Wednesday over its Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, describing it as a mass deletion program rather than the democratic process it purports to be.

Congress MP Rajeev Shukla further escalated the opposition's stance, labeling the ongoing revisions as 'vote theft' and affirming that protests against the SIR process will persist. Trinamool Congress MP Saayoni Ghosh reiterated demands for a parliamentary discussion on the issue, accusing the Prime Minister and Home Minister of avoiding the topic.

The call for transparency and debate has been echoed by India bloc MPs, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who staged demonstrations in the Parliament House complex. Despite government assurances by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju of procedural fairness, tensions remain high as the opposition continues to push for an open discussion on what they deem critical to democracy's integrity.
