Dhami met with those affected, urging medical staff to deliver adequate care. The Uttarakhand administration reported the successful evacuation of 274 individuals from Gangotri and surrounding areas, restoring safety amid the chaos.
Nationwide coordination underscored the evacuation process, as police and rescue agencies, including the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), banded together to implement a formidable operation. Helicopter missions facilitated rapid transportation of evacuees from Harshil to Jollygrant Airport, Dehradun, where medical checks were conducted.
