Chaturvedi Slams Trump's Tariff Move as 'Hypocrisy'

In a recent development, US President Donald Trump's decision to impose an additional 25% tariff on Indian goods has drawn sharp criticism from Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, who labeled the move as 'hypocrisy.'

Chaturvedi accused Trump of unfairly targeting India over its oil imports from Russia while turning a blind eye to similar trade activities conducted by the US, EU, China, and Turkey.

She asserted that India will stand firm in protecting its national interest and won't be swayed by external pressures, challenging the tariffs that complicate trade for Indian exporters.
