The operation, involving the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir police, CRPF, and the Special Operations Group (SOG), saw its first major engagement nearly a week ago. According to the Indian Army's Chinar Corps, troops demonstrated vigilance and strategic firepower throughout an overnight gunfight in the Akhal area. On social media platform X, they reported the tight noose maintained around the situation, ensuring no escape route for adversaries.
In a significant development, Baramulla Police uncovered a terrorist hideout in the Gogaldara-Danwas forest, seizing weapons and supplies. This comes amid heightened security operations across the region. In a related context, the Indian Army recently thwarted infiltration attempts in the Poonch sector, neutralizing two operatives. Similarly, key Lashkar-e-Taiba figures were eliminated in the successful Operation Mahadev, reflecting an unwavering commitment to regional stability.
