Rao visited a financial inclusion saturation camp at Ormanjhi Gram Panchayat in Ranchi on Friday to underscore RBI's commitment to accessible banking services.
This initiative, part of a broader outreach effort alongside the Ministry of Finance, seeks to integrate households with banking facilities through schemes like Jan-Dhan Yojana. The program also prioritizes updating customer records via the re-KYC process, crucial for continued banking service delivery.
The campaign, which runs from July to September, has already seen enthusiastic participation, completing re-KYC for 3,965 accounts and enrolling over 7,000 in social security schemes, illustrating the community's eagerness for financial empowerment.
