Congress MP K Suresh, a passenger on Air India's Delhi-bound flight diverted to Chennai due to a suspected technical glitch, has demanded an investigation by the airline and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The flight took off from Trivandrum airport at 7:45 PM on Monday.

About an hour into the journey, the pilot announced a radar communication issue, necessitating a return to Chennai. The flight attempted to land but ascended abruptly, causing panic among the 160 passengers. Eventually, the aircraft landed safely, with passengers reaching Delhi around 4:30 AM.

An Air India spokesperson stated that the precautionary diversion was due to a suspected technical issue and unfavorable weather. The airline regrets the inconvenience and is making arrangements for affected passengers. Air India reaffirmed its commitment to passenger and crew safety.
