The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has announced a pivotal parliamentary meeting scheduled for 19 August 2025, at 9:30 AM, according to official notification. The meeting will be held at the G.M.C. Balayogi Auditorium of the Parliament Library Building, with attendance requested from all NDA members of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

In a related development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to conduct its parliamentary board meeting on 17 August at its New Delhi headquarters. Sources suggest that discussions may center on the NDA's candidate for the Vice-Presidential elections.

High-profile leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are expected to participate. The race for Vice-President was recently triggered by the resignation of Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar for health reasons, with elections scheduled by the Election Commission for 9 September.
