In a significant political event held at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan in Guwahati, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Assam Unit President Dilip Saikia underscored the importance of cultural unity and tradition. Addressing the gathering, Saikia emphasized that the BJP has gained recognition as a formidable movement on the global stage.
The program, which took place on Saturday, served as a joining ceremony where over a hundred individuals from various parties, including members of the Adivasi Kalyan Parishad, formally entered the BJP's fold. Saikia extended a warm welcome to the new members, urging them to uphold their unique cultural heritage while working towards national unity.
Saikia affirmed the party's commitment to protecting the rights of Assamese indigenous people and all genuine Indian origin citizens. Highlighting the BJP's open-door policy, he reiterated the party's dedication to India's service. The event saw participation from senior BJP leaders, including Organisational General Secretary G.R. Ravindra Raju and several Vice Presidents and General Secretaries.
