In a heart-wrenching incident, five children lost their lives in a drowning accident in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district on Sunday. The children, ranging in age from 12 to 15, were identified as Mohd Annas, Hidaytullah, Mohd Hamza Ali, Mohd Rahman, and Mohd Abbu Talim.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Allay Vats, the tragic event unfolded in the Katra area. The children, venturing into a water-filled pit for a bath, accidentally slipped into deep waters, leading to their untimely deaths.
Despite the efforts of local villagers and swimmers who rushed to the scene, the children could not be saved. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this devastating tragedy.
