Two individuals sustained serious injuries following a flashover accident at the Khaparkheda Thermal Power Plant in Nagpur district on Sunday. The incident involved assistant engineer Vaibhav Sonule and labourer Sachin Bhagat, who were inspecting a fault in the switchgear room when an unexpected electrical explosion occurred.

The explosion resulted in severe burns for both Sonule and Bhagat, while two other workers managed to escape without injury. Emergency services quickly transported the injured to nearby hospitals for urgent medical care.

An internal inquiry is underway to determine the cause and prevent future incidents. Although investigations continue, officials have yet to register any formal case, pending further details.
