A tragic incident marred the Krishna Janmashtami celebrations in Hyderabad's Ramanthapur area, as five people lost their lives and four others sustained injuries. The calamity occurred when a chariot inadvertently came into contact with high-tension electric wires on Sunday night, according to police reports.

Authorities quickly transported the injured to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care, while the deceased were sent for post-mortem examinations. Uppal police inspector reported, "Five individuals died immediately, and four more were injured after receiving a live electric shock during the procession."

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao expressed his profound grief over the incident, identifying the deceased as Krishna Yadav, Srikanth Reddy, Suresh Yadav, Rudra Vikas, and Rajendra Reddy. He called for government assistance to support the victims' families and ensure better medical assistance for the injured, emphasizing the importance of precautionary measures to avoid similar tragedies in the future.
