Biju Janta Dal leader Arun Sahoo confirmed the hospitalization of former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik due to dehydration, assuring that his condition is now stable. A panel of doctors is overseeing his health, with key political figures, including state ministers and the PCC President, having visited to extend their support.

Sahoo, speaking to ANI, stated, "His condition is stable and he is under the care of a dedicated medical team. Government representatives, including Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan and Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, have visited the hospital, expressing concern and solidarity. Additionally, PCC President Bhakta Charan Das also made an appearance," he added.

Naveen Patnaik was admitted to SUM Ultimate Medicare in Bhubaneswar on Sunday evening. Medical professionals assure that he is responding well to treatment. Notably, political figures like Ministers Mukesh Mahaling and Prithviraj Harichandan, alongside BJP leader Babu Singh, are among those who checked on him. In parallel, Bhubaneswar Mayor and BJD leader Sulochana Das also paid a visit.

Amidst this, Patnaik recently critiqued the ruling BJP government following the death of a 13-year-old girl who immolated herself in Bargarh district. Expressing dismay, he emphasized the need for robust mechanisms to ensure the safety and welfare of girls. Highlighting similar incidents, Patnaik mourned the loss of another young girl in his social media post, extending condolences to her family and urging for systemic changes.
