Drone Interception Near Smolensk Nuclear Plant Sparks Concerns

A Ukrainian drone was intercepted by Russian forces near the Smolensk nuclear power plant, an incident which resulted in an explosion but caused only minor damage, according to Rosatom, Russia's nuclear power corporation.

Rosatom assured the public on Monday that the damage from the explosion was negligible and confirmed there were no casualties reported.

This latest development follows a statement from Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) on Sunday, announcing they had thwarted a potential Ukrainian drone attack on the Smolensk nuclear facility.
