The Lok Sabha session on Monday was marked by high drama as two significant bills—the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2025, and the Institutes of Management (Amendment) Bill, 2025—were introduced. However, proceedings were overshadowed by vociferous protests from opposition MPs, leading to an adjournment till 2 pm.

Speaker Om Birla addressed the house sternly, cautioning opposition members against damaging government property as part of their protest. He urged MPs to channel their energies into constructive questioning rather than disruptive activities, emphasizing that the electorate expects responsible parliamentary behavior.

Amidst the uproar, opposition leaders continued their protest over voter list revisions in Bihar. The discontent persists despite clarifications from the Election Commission, with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi facing demands to substantiate allegations of election rigging with proof. The tension reflects deeper political rifts, as accusations of 'vote chori' against the BJP and the Election Commission heighten the monsoon session's charged atmosphere.
