In the aftermath of a devastating cloudburst that struck Jammu & Kashmir's Kathua district, joint rescue operations spearheaded by the Indian Army are in full swing. The tragic event, which claimed seven lives and injured 11 others, prompted an immediate and large-scale response from both military and civil authorities.

Following the disaster, Army relief teams equipped with engineer detachments moved swiftly into the hardest-hit areas, Jhor Khad and Bagra villages. Working alongside the Civil Administration, Jammu & Kashmir Police, and SDRF teams, they facilitated the evacuation of stranded families, provided essential supplies, and administered medical care to the injured.

Reinforcing ground efforts, Indian Army helicopters executed aerial evacuations, airlifting critically injured people to the Military Hospital in Pathankot. As emergency relief operations progress, the focus remains on efficiently reaching isolated communities and restoring infrastructure, exemplifying the effectiveness of coordinated disaster response.
