Emami Agrotech Ltd, part of the Rs 20,000-crore Emami Group, has made a strategic entry into the branded staples market. On Tuesday, the company announced its latest venture as it aims to capture a share of the Rs 80,000 crore market.
The launch includes Emami's 'Healthy & Tasty' branded atta, maida, and sooji, marking its transition from pantry staples to core kitchen essentials. The move is intended to elevate the company's standing in the food sector to Rs 2,000 crore in the next three to five years, as per company statements.
Driven by a growing consumer preference for hygiene and brand reliability, Emami Agrotech plans to leverage its robust distribution and digital supply chain. This expansion follows a steady brand trajectory since its 2010 inception, with 'Healthy & Tasty' now covering edible oils, spices, soya chunks, and more.
