Avinash Desai, an engineer turned farmer, has emerged victorious in Season 2 of TAFE's Massey Dynastar Contest, standing out among over 16,000 applicants. His innovative creation, a 'mobile slurry dewatering machine', provides a groundbreaking solution for farmers, particularly benefiting those involved in dairy farming.

Desai's machine addresses the challenge faced by farmers managing cow dung slurry from bio-digesters. By leveraging simple screw press technology and enabling tractor power, the machine efficiently separates slurry into nutrient-rich liquid and solid manure, offering immediate usability.

Residing in Belagavi district, Desai hails from a legacy linked to Veerappa Nayaka. His family's venture spans 100 acres where they cultivate sugarcane, channa, and jowhar, also caring for over 20 cattle. Desai's ingenious solution simplifies dung management, reflecting necessity as the catalyst for invention.
