In a distressing recurrence of security threats, more than 50 schools in the national capital region received ominous emails in the early hours of Wednesday, police officials confirmed. A group identifying itself as 'Terrorisers 111' has raised serious alarms by sending an unsettling communication, threatening to detonate bombs unless a $25,000 ransom is paid.

The threats, reminiscent of previous hoaxes, included claims of having breached the schools' IT systems and warned of C4 bombs planted in strategic locations such as classrooms and school buses. The email threatened the immediate release of sensitive data if authorities were contacted, escalating the urgency of the situation.

Upon receiving the threats, police forces swiftly carried out evacuations and commenced thorough checks of the premises. Despite earlier threats being false alarms, today's warnings have not been taken lightly, with officials emphasizing the grave nature of these security breaches.
