The region, an economic hub for rural development, sees these cooperatives emerge as leaders in milk processing and product exports, according to the Chief Minister's office.
Banas Dairy, touted as one of Asia's largest cooperatives, plays a crucial role in rural development. Banas Dairy's expansive network includes 1,600 societies and 4 lakh farmers, while its product portfolio spans from milk items to honey and oils.
Merging efforts with Suzuki Motor Corporation and the NDDB in a biogas plant, Banas Dairy aims for sustainable growth. Meanwhile, Dudhsagar Dairy transforms Mehsana into a dairy innovation hub, generating a turnover of approximately INR 8,054 crore in FY 2024-25.
