In the bustling locale of Edamalaipatti Pudur, Trichy, a Corporation Primary School has become a beacon of modern education by offering facilities comparable to top private institutions. The school has introduced QR code-enabled uniforms, marking it as a trailblazer in state educational innovation.

Although managed by the Corporation, this institution has undergone significant upgrades through the initiative of Headmistress Pushpalatha, passionate teaching staff, and support from Tamil Nadu government funds, along with contributions from the Corporation and private entities. The school is already equipped with smart classrooms, interactive boards, Wi-Fi, and uniquely designed railway-themed painted classrooms. The QR code uniform feature is the school's latest state-first initiative.

Every Wednesday, students don bright T-shirts in hues of yellow, green, red, and white, each adorned with QR codes that reveal critical student information, such as class and school name, upon scanning. Latha Roslin, an enthusiastic teacher, shared with ANI that the QR code initiative is part of technology integration aimed at enhancing student identification and safety, with future plans of including names and parents' addresses in the codes.

Roslin also lauded the smart classrooms, asserting their educational utility. Fueled by a focus on student safety, the school administration is working towards making QR codes a uniform fixture, potentially incorporating home addresses and contact numbers as well. It's noteworthy that this makes the school a pioneer among government institutions in Tamil Nadu for integrating QR codes in student uniforms.
