In a decisive operation, a joint team of Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and Fatehpur Police successfully apprehended a murder suspect after an encounter on Thursday night, reports confirmed. Deepak alias Pradeep, the accused, sustained a bullet injury and has been hospitalized, according to statements from the police.

Superintendent of Police, Gramin Jhansi, Arvind Kumar, disclosed that Pradeep was wanted in a murder case and carried a bounty of Rs 25,000 on his head. During the operation, police recovered weapons from Pradeep's possession, indicating his involvement in criminal activities. Authorities are set to proceed with further investigations following an interrogation.

Additionally, Arvind Kumar recounted a previous incident in May where another wanted criminal, Bhupendra Gwalah, was injured during an encounter with the Jhansi Police. Amid ongoing investigations, officers also confiscated a motorcycle lacking a number plate and a stolen battery from Gwalah. The criminal activities of both individuals highlight the pressing need for continued law enforcement vigilance.
